Grangemouth Choral Society PDF Print E-mail

Grangemouth Choral Society has been singing since 1954 and today has around 50 members. Although based in Grangemouth the choir performs all over the Central Belt of Scotland. The society’s calendar has two main events annually; Christmas - when the choir performs three concerts of seasonal music and its Annual Concert which is held in the Spring around March/April.

The choir is a community based organisation and performs regularly at the request of local community groups, churches and charity groups for fundraising events. In previous years the choir has organised events such as "Sponsored sings".

Members are drawn from all areas in Central Scotland and come together to share their enjoyment of choral singing. The choir’s repertoire is wide and varied; from classical opera choruses to songs from the shows, Scots songs to jazz and pop.

The choir does not have auditions and new members in all sections will always be given a warm welcome.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 7.30pm at Talbot House, Talbot Street, Grangemouth

Membership cost £40.00 per annum (£25 per annum for retired and unwaged members)
