FOUNDED in 1973 by Robert Tait and a group of people interested in forming an Oratorio Choir. This group, which included the Chairperson and Secretary of Falkirk & District Arts & Civic Council, met on 28 May 1973 and appointed a Steering Committee under the Chairmanship of the Rev. James Paterson of Falkirk Old Parish Church.
The Society has been from its beginning a member of Falkirk & District Arts & Civic Council, and affiliated to the National Federation of Music Societies (now Making Music).

REHEARSALS Sunday afternoons 15.00 to 17.00 in St Modan's Hall at Falkirk Old & St Modan's Parish Church, Falkirk.
The Chorus participates in the annual "BAIRNS' CHRISTMAS" Carol Concert, along with Falkirk Caledonia Choir and Falkirk Tryst Orchestra - Sunday 19 December 2010 at 14.30 and 19.00 in Falkirk Town Hall.
Plans for 2011 are for a performance of Handel's Messiah on 20 March 2011 in Falkirk Old & St Modan's Parish Church (as part of the Bicentenary Celebrations of the present building) while "A Night at The Opera" is the title of the annual Festival Concert on 15 May 2011 in Falkirk Town Hall, as part of the Falkirk Tryst Festival.
The Chorus has taken part from time to time in series such as "St Giles at 6" in Edinburgh and "Music in Old & St Andrew's" in Helensburgh and has been invited to sing at weddings, funerals, memorial services and church anniversaries.

Enrolment and the first rehearsal for the new session takes place on Sunday 29 August 2010 at 15.00 in the St Modan's Hall of Falkirk Old & St Modan's Parish Church.
The Chorus plans three events -
- the "Bairns' Christmas Carol Concert, given jointly with Falkirk Caledonia Choir and Falkirk Tryst Orchestra, on Sunday 19 December 2010, in Falkirk Town Hall, two performances, 14.30 and 19.00.
- Handel's Messiah on Sunday 20 March 2011 in Falkirk Old & St Modan's Parish Church (part of the
Bicentenary Celebrations of the present building).
- A Night at the Opera on Sunday 15 May 2011 in Falkirk Town Hall, the Chorus's annual Festival Concert in

The "Bairns' Christmas" Carol Concert, given jointly with Falkirk Caledonia Choir and Falkirk Tryst Orchestra and conducted by Robert Tait, takes place on Sunday 19 December 2010 in Falkirk Town Hall. There are two performances, at 14.30 and 19.00.
20 March 2011 is the date for a performance of Handel's Messiah, given in Falkirk Old & St Modan's Parish Church, in connection with the Bi-Centenary celebrations of the "Faw Kirk".
The Falkirk Tryst Festival 2011 will be the occasion of "A Night at the Opera" on Sunday 15 May.
